My name is Peter Deitz and I am 79 years-old. About a year ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. And, I have to tell you, that it shocked my greatly because I deemed myself pretty fit for my age and I enjoyed hiking in the high country. But, I had noticed over time that my ability to maintain my balance was diminished and I couldn’t figure out what was going on until I came to this Foundation’s program with Gary Sobol, who taught me how to combat the slow progression of the disease. So, I think this has been a tremendous help to me and has buoyed my life spirit. I have learned how to walk again and to be conscience of the steps I take and the ones I shouldn’t take. So I have learned to take steps that will keep me up and not down. It has generally improved my health and my outlook on life. My wife thinks I have become a better person, which is important. She is very supportive of my participation in this Foundation program so it’s been a great boon to my existence.
